visit to piko and kopi

my brother and i went to visit kopi today at the vet's. she is now thinner from the last time i saw her. hopefully it's an illusion. i really hope she's eating. the people who feeds her said that she has been eating, not a lot though. but i don't really expect him to watch her eating her every meal. i fed the doggy biscuits to her by hand. she ate. so manja. want people to feed baru want to eat. i hope it's not because of her limited ability to move that she doesn't eat.

the moment she saw that she has visitors, her eager tail came to life, whacking itself on the thin steel bar flooring. i took that as a sign of happiness. according to the doctor she can already stand on three legs which is a good sign. the operation will take place maybe next week. her bills are confirmed RM1000 and i'm still looking and waiting for donors. we are still short of donors by RM500.

i brought her milk when i visited her. i poured it in a container that i brought together with me and she quickly lapped it up. kopi loves milk. i remember the aunty would bring her milk whenever she brings food for kopi and piko in the playground. they will finish the milk in an instant and lick the platter dry. i'm glad she enjoyed the milk i brought for her. her sister on the other hand was brought down from the upper floor to the lower floor as she has fleas. i'm not sure whether she has contracted it as the vet's or otherwise.

i feel lonely for the animals there. they are kept in their individual cages. barkings are constant and other animals around you have one kind or another disease. life behind metal bars, like a jail in hospital. you don't know where you are, what people are going to do to you, and when will you be let out. whatever pain you have, you just hope it will get better. you long to see a familiar face and you wait and wait. your social life is listening to barkings and mewings. i'm being a bit dramatic i know. i'm hoping to find someone to adopt kopi, piko, and their sister when they are better. if you know anyone who might want to adopt puppies, let me know. they are as lovable as any dog can be.

watcha looking at???

after visiting kopi, i went to the playground to see piko. at the sound of her "name" and the kissing sound that i make, she comes out from her hole and greets me by snuggling into the concave of my outstretched arms. yesterday, i called out to her and she came running to me from another side of the playground and "pounced" on me til i was on my back. i take that as a "i'm so happy to see you!" greeting.

piko unexpectedly licked me while i was trying to camwhore with her

my brother and piko

she doesn't really have anyone to play with ever since kopi was hospitalised. the was another dog, yellow in colour, we call her pk. she will appear at the playground on and off and especially during mealtimes but i haven't seen her for about week. she is about the same size as kopi and piko but slightly thinner and way more bossier. i hope she's fine. the last time i saw her, she was having diarrhea (i saw!). she always wanders around but she's more street smart than kopi and piko. i hope she's well. i can't afford to raise another thousand.

i'm also worried for piko staying in the playground. she is becoming braver. she crosses the road now which is the main reason of worry especially at night. she doesn't look before she crosses the road, she being small which makes cars difficult to spot her, and she is almost the same colour as the tar road. but there's nothing much i can do really. just pray that god will watch over her.

if you know anyone who might be able to donate or adopt them, drop me a message ujeantology@gmail.com

thank you.
